• State the diving environment, teaching or supervision scope, diver groups, sites, equipment, boat or shore work, and records you have actually handled.
• Describe briefings, skill instruction, equipment checks, dive planning, buddy supervision, surface coordination, logs, environmental conduct, and incident reporting.
• Explain how you adapted or stopped a dive when a diver, equipment item, or condition was outside the safe plan, without claiming responsibility beyond your authorization.

• Review the booking, diver information, planned site, equipment, boat or shore arrangements, weather and water updates, and the operator's safety procedure before the dive.
• Explain the dive plan, equipment, communication signals, depth or route limits, buddy arrangements, ascent procedures, environmental conduct, and what to do if a diver has a problem.
• Teach or supervise only the skills and dive conditions covered by your training, authorization, and the operator's assigned responsibility, while observing each diver's readiness and comfort.
• Check equipment and records within your role, coordinate with boat crew or surface support, and stop, shorten, or escalate a dive when a diver, equipment item, or condition creates a concern.
• Complete the required log, incident or handover record and report equipment faults, medical concerns, delays, diver distress, or environmental damage through the correct channel.
• A redacted dive briefing, equipment checklist, training record, dive log, or handover that shows the scope of instruction or supervision you actually performed.
• A reference from a dive centre manager, instructor lead, boat operator, or responsible supervisor who can describe your instruction, preparation, supervision, and judgement.
• A specific example of stopping, changing, or escalating a dive because of a diver concern, equipment problem, weather, water conditions, or another safety issue.
• Instructor-level diving training, first-aid or rescue training, and any operator or authority requirements only when completed, current where relevant, and applicable to the vacancy.

• Risk-aware decision making that considers diver experience, health information provided through the operator's process, weather, water, visibility, boat movement, and site conditions.
• Accurate dive logs and respectful communication with divers, crew, activity staff, supervisors, and emergency contacts when escalation is required.
• The dive operator may provide induction on local sites, boats, equipment, weather procedures, diver records, emergency contacts, environmental rules, and the responsibilities assigned to each team member.
• Instructor-level diving, rescue, first-aid, or other training may be expected, but there is no single universal requirement for every vacancy. Check the employer's stated scope and applicable local requirements.
• Regular practice in briefings, equipment checks, dive planning, incident reporting, and environmental conduct should stay within the person's current training and authorization.
