Entertainment Program Development and Management Design and Plan: Develop creative and varied daily, weekly, and seasonal programs of events for all age groups (children, teens, adults), including sports, fitness classes (e.g., aerobics, yoga, aqua gym), games, creative workshops, and theme nights. Entertainment Production: Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of professional evening entertainment, shows, and special events (e.g., gala dinners, holiday parties, live music). Activity Scheduling: Create and manage detailed schedules for all activities, ensuring appropriate staffing, venue availability, and timely execution. Budget Management: Develop, manage, and present departmental budgets, controlling costs related to supplies, equipment, staff, and external entertainers. Staff Leadership and Management Recruitment and Training: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise the Animation/Recreation Team, ensuring they are highly motivated, energetic, and skilled in guest interaction. Performance: Monitor team performance, provide coaching, and conduct appraisals to maintain high standards of service and guest engagement. Team Morale: Foster a dynamic, positive, and collaborative working environment for the entertainment staff. Guest Experience and Relations Guest Engagement: Actively engage with guests, soliciting feedback and encouraging participation in activities to build a warm and friendly atmosphere. Complaint Resolution: Promptly and professionally handle guest complaints or issues related to recreation or entertainment services. Promotions: Work with the marketing/sales teams to promote all leisure facilities and activities to maximize guest attendance and potential revenue. Operational and Safety Management Facilities Oversight: Oversee the daily operations of all recreation, entertainment and leisure facilities Safety and Maintenance: Ensure all recreation equipment and facilities are maintained in excellent and safe working condition, adhering to all local health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Inventory: Manage inventory of supplies, costumes, and equipment, arranging for purchasing or maintenance as needed.

Requirements

7 years proven managerial experience (2-3+ years) in a recreation, entertainment, or animation role within a hospitality or resort setting. Leadership: Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills to inspire a large, multi-cultural team. Marketing and upselling of Leisure activities Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in multiple languages (especially English, plus others relevant to the hotel's clientele) is a significant asset. Highly energetic, outgoing, positive, and customer-driven with exceptional guest service abilities. Certification in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, or a related field is often preferred.
