IT Manager

IT Strategy & Budget Develop and manage the IT capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operating expenditure (OPEX) budgets, ensuring all technology investments align with business needs and brand standards. Coordinate with the project management team, owners, and operators on IT space requirements, power, cooling, and structured cabling specifications. System Procurement & Installation Identify, evaluate, and procure all necessary hotel-specific systems, including the Property Management System (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), Telephone System (PABX), Key Card System, High-Speed Internet Access (HSIA), Back-Office Systems, and other relevant technologies (e.g., CCTV, Digital Signage). Oversee the physical installation and configuration of the hotel's entire IT infrastructure, including servers, network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), Wi-Fi access points, and end-user devices. Vendor Management Manage all IT vendor relationships, contracts, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Oversee installation projects delivered by third-party contractors. Security & Compliance Establish comprehensive IT security policies, standards, and procedures for all hotel systems and user access. Ensure compliance with all necessary industry and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS for credit card security). Policy & Documentation Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT operations, including backup/disaster recovery, system maintenance, and user support. Create and maintain complete documentation for the entire IT environment. System Testing & Integration Lead the comprehensive testing of all systems, verifying functionality, reliability, and seamless integration between different applications (e.g., PMS to POS, Key Card System). Conduct network performance and stress testing. User Training Develop and deliver training programs for all department heads and staff on the use of new hardware, software, and IT policies. Ensure all staff are proficient in using the core operational systems before the hotel opening. Go-Live Support Provide intensive, hands-on support during the soft opening and grand opening period, resolving any immediate IT issues that arise. Establish the IT service desk/helpdesk function to handle initial support requests. Handover to Operations Transition successfully installed and tested systems to the operational environment. Finalize all contracts, warranties, and support agreements.
