Facility Technician – Plumbing & General Repairs

Plumbing MaintenanceInstall, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, valves, fittings, water heaters, pumps, and drainage systems.Inspect plumbing systems regularly to identify leaks, blockages, or wear.Repair toilets, sinks, showers, taps, and other fixtures.Ensure proper water flow, pressure, and supply throughout the facility.Respond to plumbing emergencies and resolve issues promptly.Maintain compliance with safety and plumbing standards.General Repairs & Building MaintenancePerform minor carpentry work such as repairing doors, locks, hinges, and wooden structures.Assist with masonry tasks including patching walls, tiling, and concrete repairs.Support welding and fabrication tasks when required.Repair and maintain facility equipment, furniture, and fixtures.Conduct inspections of maintenance areas and report damages or abnormalities.Support overall property upkeep, especially in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house.Preventive MaintenanceCarry out routine preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.Document all tasks in the maintenance system (CMMS or manual log).Identify areas requiring improvement or replacement and report to the supervisor.Safety & ComplianceFollow safety procedures while handling tools, equipment, and chemicals.Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and hazard-free.Support compliance with building codes and company maintenance standards.Report any safety incidents or risks immediately.

Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing or related technical field.2–4 years of plumbing or general maintenance experience in hotels, commercial buildings, or industrial facilities.Basic knowledge of masonry, carpentry, and general repair work.Ability to use plumbing and general maintenance tools safely.Strong plumbing knowledge and troubleshooting skills.Ability to perform basic carpentry, masonry, and general repairs.Good understanding of building maintenance procedures.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Good communication and customer service skills.
