Housekeeping Supervisor – Rooms

Supervision & Team ManagementSupervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants and housekeeping assistants.Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to maintain service standards.Monitor staff performance, attendance, and conduct, reporting issues to management.Ensure staff follow proper grooming, uniform, and conduct standards.Room Cleaning & Quality ControlConduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, and corridors to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation meet hotel standards.Ensure rooms are prepared according to guest preferences, including VIPs and special requests.Identify maintenance or repair issues and communicate with Engineering or relevant departments.Ensure proper use and care of cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals.Guest ServiceRespond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and feedback related to room cleanliness.Ensure guest rooms are ready and maintained to exceed expectations, including amenities, linens, and hygiene standards.Support service recovery efforts when necessary to enhance guest satisfaction.Workflow & SchedulingAssist in planning daily cleaning schedules and allocate tasks efficiently among staff.Monitor workflow to ensure timely completion of room cleaning, especially during peak occupancy.Ensure proper coverage for all room categories and special room setups.Inventory & SuppliesMonitor stock levels of cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and linens.Report shortages to management and ensure proper storage and maintenance of supplies.Safety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards in all room operations.Train staff on safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.Promote a safe and secure working environment for all team members.ReportingMaintain records of inspections, cleaning schedules, and staff performance.Report operational issues, staff performance, and guest feedback to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.

Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field.Minimum 5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and hygiene practices.Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office is an advantage.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
