Pastry and Bakery - Commis

Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, breads, cakes, and other baked goods. Design and develop new recipes for our dessert menu. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Order and maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies. Train and mentor kitchen staff on pastry techniques and preparation. Ensure pastries are prepared and served on time for restaurant service and catered events. Handle and resolve any issues or complaints regarding the pastry section. Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate meal service and menus. Monitor baking procedures and costs, and make changes as needed to maintain quality and profitability. Creating and testing new dessert recipes. Designing menus that align with seasonal ingredients and dining trends. Supervising kitchen staff to ensure culinary standards are consistently met.
